About Me!
Hello! My name is Carlos and I am a musical theatre writer and performer based in New York City. I am a soon-to-be 2026 graduate of Manhattan School of Music's Musical Theatre Program!

I said my first words at six months old, and I've kept 'em coming ever since! I started reading and writing at three, and I was always telling stories from the second I figured out I could.
I was also serious ballet dancer in my youth, and taught myself the piano and how to sing at age twelve. With all of these things put together, I found my way to the wonderful world of musical theatre and attended Interlochen Arts Academy for high school to pursue this path, graduating in 2022.
When I'm not engaged in a theatrical endeavor, you can find me lifting weights, reading books, listening to live jazz, making people laugh, and finding the profundity in everyday things.
Coffeeshop! - A New Musical by Carlos Golde, First Reading
This was my first ever full original show! It is loosely based on my experiences during my first year at my current survival job. I wrote the book, music and lyrics. It premiered in 2025 in Miller Hall at Manhattan School of Music.
